A few things need to be mentioned before we get to the recipes below. First, you’ll need a blender or smoothie machine to mix everything together. Throw 10 ounces of ice and water into the blender along with the other ingredients, and blend it until it’s smooth. It might take a few times to get the right water/ice ratio depending on the thickness of your ice, make of blender, etc…

There are a few common ingredients that you’ll need for pretty much every shake. You’ll need the Herbalife Formula 1 Healthy Meal Nutritional Shake Mix and the Herbalife Protein Drink Mix. If you only have the Formula 1 Mix, use 2 scoops of that instead of 1 scoop of Formula 1 and 1 scoop of the Protein Drink Mix. Another common ingredient is sugar-free pudding mix. If you can’t find healthy, sugar-free pudding mixes in your local grocery store, you can find them at abundantlifefoods.com. If you have any other questions about any of the ingredients, just let us know in the comments below, or in the Contact form above.

  1. Kamber says:

This is regarding your herbalife shake recipes. When you say 1 scoop herbalife formula 1, how much is “1 scoop”? My first order did not come with a scoop, or it’s located near the bottom. Thank you!

    • Mike at Herbal Drive says:

Each scoop is approximately a tablespoon and a half. There is probably a scoop in the bottom of the Formula 1 canister. Just grab a long spoon and dig a little bit, and you’ll probably find it. Be careful not to spill the powder on top, though!

Thanks for the question, and let us know if we can help with anything else!

  3. Em says:

I am new at making my own shakes and only have the Formula 1 mix. Do you use ice or milk?

    • Mike at Herbal Drive says:

Awesome! We like to use a mixture of water and ice. You can use milk, but it will increase the fat content of the shake unless you use skim milk. I don’t think you’ll notice much of a difference between milk and ice/water. So, we stick with ice and water because it doesn’t add any fat.

Let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!

  4. jenn says:

My herbal life protein powder did not come with a scooper, do i use the formula 1 scooper or 1 tablespoon (serving size on the protein)? Thank you!

    • Mike at Herbal Drive says:

Hi Jenn! The scooper is probably in there, just down in the powder where you can’t see it. Using the Formula 1 scooper is probably the best idea. They scoop the same amount and are essentially the same, although they might be different colors.

Thanks for stopping by, and let us know if you need anything else! Thanks!

  5. Lori says:

How many weight watchers points are in these shakes?

    • Mike at Herbal Drive says:

Hi Lori! I’m not exactly sure how many points are in the shakes, but after searching for a bit, it looks like 3 or 4 points depending on what you add into the shake. I’m sorry I don’t know for sure. You may want to ask in a weight watchers forum or something like that.

      Thanks for stopping by!

      • Caleb says:

I was told by my Health Coach (who’s part of the Millionare team) that it is 2 points on the weight watchers program.

  6. Jennifer says:

I am new to this when you say vanilla syrup an pumpkin syrup what do u mean?? Do u mean extract??

    • Mike at Herbal Drive says:

Hi Jennifer! Any sugar-free syrup will work. We suggest dry syrup mixes from Abundant Life Foods. You can find them here – http://www.abundantlifefoods.com/. On the left side of the home page, there is a blue button that says “Sugar Free Syrups.” Just click on that, and you’ll find a whole bunch of flavors.

If you have any questions, let us know. Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Payton says:

When you say 10 ounces of ice & water is it 10 ounces of each? Or 10 ounces of ice then fill in between with water?

    • Mike at Herbal Drive says:

Hi Payton! Start with 10 ounces of ice and water, together. Not 10 ounces of ice and 10 ounces of water. Then, adjust the thickness to your liking from there. 10 ounces is just a suggested starting point, as some people like their shakes a little thicker and some like them a little thinner.

      We appreciate you stopping by!
